I like the lighted knobs and how fast the burners heat up. Be sure you understand there is only 1 small burner. You need to be careful if you are simmering food on the other burners. Still, it is a great cooktop,

I like to cook again
I had to have a cooktop in a hurry and was so happy that the seller had the cooktop that I wanted in these Covid days. Today I fried chicken and the heat from the 18000 BTU burner was perfect and fast. I had a real nice low simmer on the 5000 BTU burner yesterday. Wonderful for slow cooking. I don’t have to keep adjusting the flame with this. I love how easily I can push a pot to a different burner and that I have room for three large pots at once. My old cooktop only allowed for two. Clean up is easy. I like the lights under the knobs to tell me that the burner is on. The only thing I don’t like are the plastic knobs. I know that they won’t last. My cooktop cost $1900 in May 2022, I see that it’s up to $3000. That’s a lot of “inflation”

This cooktop is a replacement of a GE Profile 18 year old cooktop. It is perfect. Easy installation and size perfect. ( we didnât want to recut granite)This seller is incredible. We received the cooktop in a week, 3 weeks earlier then expected. Further, the price was $300 less then the big box chains. Works beautifully and love it. Thank you!!!!!

Knobs are plastic NOT Stainless Steel Plastic Rubs OFFF Ick!
It is really a shame that the knobs are so cheap on this. My unit is about four years old but the surface started rubbing off after year one. The cooktop itself is pretty good. It has some good qualities but plan on replacing the knobs over and over. I ordered this cook top because of Top Chef. Disappointed with the quality but pretty satisfied with the performance.

Nice cooktop but….GE went cheap on us.
My biggest complaint with this cooktop is the knobs. They look like stainless steel and are nice and heavy but they are painted silver and are actually hard plastic. I had the cooktop for six months and already the plastic was showing through (white plastic). It seems like a super small issue but it makes my cooktop (and the rest of my GE Profile kitchen) look CHEAP. I spent nearly $10,000 on a remake of my kitchen appliances and I get stuck with these cehap knobs. I cannot find aftermarket knobs anywhere that will fit. I have bought a few that looked like they would fit but they didn’t and had to return them. Look on the GE parts website and the knobs have an average 1-star review with over 50 reviews. Not one review over a star (you can’t give it zero stars). My only other issue is it’s super hard to keep clean. I doubt this is any different for any large stainless cooktop. Just didn’t realize how much work it would be.
