    Excellent buy.
Could not be more pleased with this heater! It has been in use for two years with no problems. Placed in the den/kitchen combo, it supplements the wood stove located in the living room. It is effective, efficient, economical to use, sturdy, compact, stays cool to the touch and is safe in use with children and pets near it. Pets include my free run of the house rabbit who likes to stretch out in front of it. CJ.D.16Sep17. Update. Just ordered 2 more of these through Amazon to place between kitchen-utility rooms and hallway between bathroom-bedrooms-living room. My 1st one is still working fine in my den-kitchen combo that has a eating bar separating and my coldest, north facing rooms. Being strategically placed with use of ceiling fans, these 3 units will help keep the cold at bay from floors, water pipes, critters and me. Having had a total hip replacement and facing a 2d, I haven’t gotten as much firewood cut as I will need for the winter to keep warm this drafty 63 year old wood house so, my woodstove will be supplementing my heaters this year. For those who wrote less than favorable comments, heater thermostat works as does a wall mounted having a +/-2-4 degree variance for heat or ac. to kick on/off. Just as with any heated element, once heating terminates there is a minute of ‘clicking’ sound as elements cool. The fan also continues to run for this minute or two after heat shuts off blowing out residual heat and assist in cooling the elements quicker. These are all normal functions and explained in the instructions as is how to set temperature settings and timer and how to set/unset Eco mode. Too easy, at least for this little 64 yr. old widder woman! As for the indicator lights being too bright, no more so than use of a nightlight and serves as a decent one so not to trip over heater in a darkened room. CJ.D.

Really, really happy with this heater.
Last winter, I owned a Lifesmart heater that was nearly $250.00. It was good, but did not have a timer that allowed the heater to turn on before I get out of bed or before I get home from work. Also, the heater I had a year ago was one of those bigger box heaters. On this site, some guy does a video review where he takes one of the bigger box heaters apart (to prove a point about the quartz), but what it shows is how much space is wasted inside the heater! There must be a thought process out there, where a bigger heater MUST deliver more and better heat. Not true, as this heater proves. This heater is compact and delivers the same, if not more heat than the Lifesmart I owned last year. It is encased in hard plastic, but always remains cool to the touch. It easily and quickly adds the needed heat to my apartment allowing me to save on propane. Sure, as mentioned in another review, it beeps when you change the controls. But you know what else beeps? My microwave, my coffee maker, my washer and dryer…the list goes on and on.I love that there are THREE power levels, with a super-saving feature that turns on when the thermostat reaches 68ºF. This heater DOES have the great timer that turns the heat on before I get up and before I get home. LOVE IT! Also, it’s a perfectly compact size. After going through SEVERAL Lasko heaters, and the uber-expensive Lifesmart that I bought (and returned) last year, this is by far the best heater I have ever owned for my purposes and would definitely buy another one just like it if I needed it. Also, shipping and delivery was extremely prompt and courteous from this seller (VM Innovations).

Small Footprint With Good Heat Output….NEW, UPDATED, PLEASE READ
UPDATE AS OF JAN 2021…THIS HEATER’S FAN HAS FAILED THEREFORE HEATER WILL NOT WORK. Yes, this is a useless paperweight and because the Amazon return window for the warranty is closed (It had a year warranty apparently but the window from Amazon was mysteriously shorter by about six-months?). Of course I’m bummed. It’s the worst case product scenario if it fails like a ticking time bomb right after the warranty is over. Plus Amazon doesn’t currently carry this model even though they carry what must be a replacement as it is quite similar and by the same maker. In a better retail world Amazon would say something like this: Over the course of selling hundreds of this model we did find higher than average failure rates and will therefore either refund or replace with a similar heater. Uh, I’m hopeful they’ll read this and I will get that offer. I’m, of course, a realist and I’m not holding my breathOLDER REVIEW BELOW:The size of this heater attracted me. It’s quite compact which also makes it handily portable. This is one of the most compact three tube heaters I’ve seen which should translate into being a bit of an overachiever for the size. It just so happens it meets my needs quite well which may be unusual for others. I’ll explain. I have a covered porch which is where I go to smoke a cigar mostly in the evenings. Being in Northern Alabama we get chilly evenings in the Fall and some cold ones in the Winter. Since smoking a cigar is about relaxation it follows I don’t want to be chilled ruining the experience. Enter this little heater. I set it on a end table and point it at me. I adjust the temp to anywhere between 72 and 76 depending on how chilly it is. The heater is pointed at me in my chair next to the table. It’s past mid-November here and I’m now using it to which I’m quite pleased. The fan noise is noticeable but not so much so to obnoxious. I’d much have the fan pushing heat toward me so I can feel the warmth versus simply having ambient heating which may not work well outdoors. I’m guessing this would be a potent heater for a small room and quite adequate for up to the advertised medium sized one. I’m not saying this will be the best solution as I’ve simply not tried many. What I do believe is this is a strong heating unit for a compact portable size. It seems to be nicely designed and engineered making me feel this is a nice bit of kit for those like me seeking good heat output with the convenience of a small footprint and portable weight and size. I’m giving it 4-stars because there is no perfect heater I’ve yet encountered and for the size this one punches above it’s modest dimensions. Final thoughts: heaters like this do get expensive if used too much and/or in multiples. They should be for occasional use and not as a primary heat source. Heaters should be as dust free as possible to be as efficient as they can be (this one has a filter which should help but also needs to checked and cleaned regularly). The quartz tube elements can be dusted judiciously (i.e. very carefully when cold) with mild blasts of compressed air. Always turn off master power switch or unplug when not in use. And of course use under controlled (i.e. indoors or dry conditions) conditions for maximum safety and trouble-free life

    Returned it
The description makes it sound like it will heat a large area. Nope, I had it on for hours and immediately packed it back up and returned it and bought another one that was actually a little cheaper and prettier. But disappointment. I will say it did throw some heat, but no where near what it made it sound like.

  5. Christine Beaulieu

Works great, it keeps the main living room nice and cozy. Does not work in an unheated area like a garage with no other heat source but perfect for colder rooms inside the house.

  6. Tyler Good

Gives off a lot of heat. Fan on the unit works well too. I like the fact that it has a timer so it can turn off on its own. A little disappointed that it looks like one of the heating coils is already starting to burn out only after 2 months of use.

  7. Esme L. Vellacott

I’m more than pleased with this heater it so well built and the heat is perfect I do not find it loud at all I’m so glad I bought this heater

  8. Brent

I bought this April 25, 2019 and it just quit working today on the coldest day of January 2020. I understood it had a one year warranty, Still investigating as Amazon Indicates the customer service window is closed….

  9. Sandy Walsh

Works Great keeps our bedroom and bathroom nicely heated. The timer is good. The only thing that I would like to see is a timer that can be programmed to shut off for a period of time and then start at a specific time prior to getting up in the mornings.
