An electric cooktop works by heat transfer and by heat emission. The cooking zones reach a high temperature quickly after being switched on and glowed dark red. Electric cooktops are easy to clean, temperature reliable, and retain residual heat that can still be used after turning off.

An induction cooktop generates heat directly at the cookware’s base. Flat copper coils help assist under the glass ceramic, through which current flows and creates an electromagnetic field. Induction-compatible cookware converts this energy straight into heat at the base. The system responds immediately and quickly if you switch the induction cooktop down or up. As soon as you take the cookware off the hot plate, the pot base ceases to heat up.

A gas cooktop is immediately on or off – no in-between. It is possible to instantly use the newly adjusted heat level. With our appliances, the flame is activated at the touch of a button/turn of a switch, so there’s no need to reach for a lighter. With gas cooktops, the temperature can be regulated in a very precise and instant way. This allows you to adjust the flame and hence the temperature continuously.

Nice product. Works very well. Looks gorgeous
Self installed. Pretty easy even thought he instructions are bit confusing. We have it a few months and it looks gorgeous and works great. Nice sleek easy clean surface and the individual grates makes that so much easier than the big bulky heavy ones that cover 2 or more burners. I highly recommend this product.

Very good with the kinks ironed out.
Ordered, shipped out and received super fast w/ Prime. Directions are generic and not well translated. My setup meant converting the cooktop to LP gas. Cooktop comes with a pressure regulator but make sure it’s set up correctly for your application ( natural gas or propane ). I recommend watching a few YouTube videos if you don’t know how to set up the regulator. The next step in the conversion is to change out each orifice to the correct size. The unit does come packed with extra orifices. Rule of thumb – smaller holes for propane, larger holes for natural gas. I used trial and error to get the best flame. Orifices have sizes stamped on them and you can tell by visually comparing hole size.. A socket wrench and extension w/ 9/32 socket would make this step easier. Flame should be different shades of blue with no yellow orange or white. Flame also should not stand off/above the burner, a sign that there’s too much gas being fed to the burner. Of course you must turn the main gas valve to the unit on and off off and plug/unplug the unit while adjusting. Now for the last part. After installation, I was not happy with the range of flame adjustability. Not enough difference between high and low. and there are no adjustment screws on this model as it states in the directions. The burner lighting sequence that I’m familiar with, is as follows – the knob is turned, the electronic ignition starts clicking away. As the knob is turned, the burner lights. The flame starts on high to insure ignition, and then adjusts to low as one continues to turn the knob. Flame height adjustment on this cooktop is different. It’s hard to explain. To light – push knob down and turn counter clockwise from 9 o’clock position to 6 o’clock ( as usual ) The burner lights(High) but can be adjusted down by continuing to rotate counter clockwise to 3 o”clock (as usual). However, on this model, in order to get the flame REALLY low you must turn the knob BACK clockwise and slowly creep back to the original 9 o’clock position. Then it’s a matter of finding your low flame “sweet spot” before the flame goes completely out as you approach the 9 o’clock starting point again. Because this adjustment sequence was/is different from my vast experience of burner lighting, it took me a week of using the cooktop before discovering how it really worked. Once I “got” how it worked, I was finally completely happy with my purchase. To wind things up – I like the look of the cooktop. It is easy to clean. The large burner boils water super fast. The small and regular size burners are great once you figure out how the knob adjustment works. The price was right. (under $200) but one should be fairly handy and have a willingness to consult google and youtube. The instructions probably cover dozens of stoves and may or may not refer to this model !

good product
It’s so easy to clean. The only issue is we had to change the copper jet nozzles to fit the natural gas. Otherwisw the flame would be too light.

Great stove top.
We installed this into a rv. I redid the counter and this was the stove I put in. I really like the Safety feature with the flame detector. Very easy to install. Iâm not a gas guy. Make sure you have a spray to check for leaks. I did notice that the propane regulator required a little bit of adjusting regarding how to thread it on.

Grates are lacking in coverage
Bought to upgrade the original three burner cooktop in my motorhome. Much nicer and better looking than the old one. Would have given it 5 stars except for the iron grates. They skimped on these. There is too much of a gap between them over the burners. You have to be careful with smaller pans as they will tilt to one side if not exactly centered. I would have expected more. Like they never tested it out before producing it. Kinda bummed about that. Also whenever I light a burner it always goes out the first time. Always requires starting twice.???? I would have had no problem paying a little more for grates that adequately covered the burners. Guess I’ll just have to live with it. Also, do not use the Teflon provided to seal the connections, it will fail within a few days. I had to assemble and disassemble it twice due to gas leaks. After that I bought Rector Seal at the hardware store. This has never failed me before and sealed the first time.

Thumps up
Itâs always good to keep the parts of your old stove just in case you need them for the new one.
