What a great stove cooktop!
To be honest, I haven’t a clue what makes a really good stove cooktop. I looked at so many during the process, and for reasons I can’t explain, I decided upon this one… though it was due to the sale price and features above all. I just finished putting in my kitchen and needed a new stove, and once installed I couldn’t be happier with the results. And to be honest once more, I am not what one would consider qualified to install such an appliance, but I’ve been a DIY’er all my life and this went in without a hitch. Just following the directions, and making very sure the switch to LP instead of natural gas was followed the letter, I fired it up and it worked wonderfully. I am extremely satisfied with the look, operation of the burners, ease of cleaning and the functionality of the entire unit. I do recommend this product, solely based on my experience with it after a few weeks, and I think you’ll be a happy camper as well.

Great Cook-top for This Price
I purchased this cook top to replace my 30+ year old cook top because of its look and price. The installation was pretty easy! I was not aware there was an internal regulator already, so I attached my existing regulator to the new cook top and it worked just fine! Ignition was relatively simple and easy too, and just need to get used to it. Right after the installation I was quite upset and thought the grate was tilted. Later on I found out the grate was actually flat and level! What a genius design and illusion!

Nice Stove Top, Good Value
The Empava 36″ gas countertop stove in stainless looks good and is a good value compared to similar higher priced stoves. My only problem was in converting to LPG. 4/5 burner orifices changed out when carefully unscrewed with the proper sized wrench, but the big middle burner orifice was frozen in place and wouldn’t turn. I bought three different proper tools but none would unscrew the brass part. Finally the little brass hex just stripped out. That meant I had to keep the natural gas orifice, which is larger, so a big flame jumps up when I start it. However, the control is such that we learned how to quickly turn it down to a reasonable flame. If I can think of another way to get it out I may yet succeed.

Very Very Dangerous Product. Should be taken off the market! – Zero Rating.
I purchased this Empava 36″ Stainless Steel 5 Italy Sabaf Gas Stove Top and had my contractor install it. I am selling my home and wanted to install a new cooktop for the prospective buyer. Everyone who entered my home kept commenting that they were smelling gas. I too, was smelling gas. When the gas smell increased, I immediately called the Gas Co. who came out- with their gas meter read a 5 – 6 point gas leak. The So. California Gas Co technician told me that it was a miracle that I didn’t blow up the house, especially lighting a candle close by the stove during Open House. I was chagrined that Amazon would sell such a product and only give a 30-day warranty. It was a few weeks past the warranty and I called Amazon to tell them of this incident and how I could have killed my entire family because of this faulty gas leak in the stove. I called Amazon to report this incident and they said because it was past a 30-day warranty, I had to purchase another stove top which I did, because I needed to have a stove top for Open Houses. My plumber and Contractor both came out to install the replacement stove top that I had to purchase again…because the previous stove top was 30 days out of warranty. After paying the contractor/plumber fees (2 Times) amounting to $800 – the contractor installed the replacement stove top and did a gas check to see if everything was working well after the installation. When the burners were turned on the plumber/contractor smelled gas again. They tested all of the gas lines and lines were fine…It was again, a gas leak in the stove and it had to be removed once again. This is a very seriously dangerous product. What are the chances that the 2nd replacement stove top that I had to purchase again, had the same gas leak in the stove? Seriously Amazon….I would definitely take this product off the market before it kills someone. It is very dangerous!

We waited a long time for delivery, but it was worth it. My wife loves the center burner and tells me that every time she uses it. Also the small burner for lower heat on smaller pans. We run it on LPG. The only downside was the larger opening required than the 30-year old stove top it replaced. We had to enlarge our tile countertop opening by about one inch all around for it to fit. Messy business with an angle grinder and jig saw, but still worth it. It’s not the heavy duty appliance available from others for 3-4 times the price, but it works well and looks good, and is a great value.

Great stove for the price!
Very Nice stove top for the price! Make sure you have a regulator. We were doing a replacement and we were able to use the regulator off the old stove top. Very easy to install. Iâm enjoying it and looking forward to more cooking during the holidays this year!!
