One year later.. regret
I’m giving this unit a 1 star rating only because it works well. I’d rate it much lower due to its low quality materials. It’s only been one year since installation. My stove top has tiny rust spots coming up all over the unit. The on/off/numbers are falling off. I’m so disappointed.. big mistake buying this cook top

Hoping for the best…
I love the look of the stove. But the streaking and scratches drive me nuts. And the knobs did break on the inside within 4 months like I read elsewhere and assumed they were hard on it. They weren’t. One simply snapped and wouldn’t turn the flame off any longer and really scared us until we figure out we just needed to take it off and get a plier to turn the gas off. Now we’re down one knob and I know they’re expensive to replace.Trying to replace whole stove with my Fairttade agreement I purchased.

I like the cooktop
I have bought this cooktop 2.5 years ago when we switched from electric to gas. I still like it very much. It is true that knobs are plastic(not great) and they would melt from the high heat (it happened to me just a few month after the purchase – one knob melted because i had a big pot on over the high heat). I called the company and they sent me the replacement – all five knobs. Now i am very careful not to put the highest heat and pot too close the it.Cooktop itself works very well and looks very nice. Cleaning is very easy, much easier then my old glass cooktop – i don’t have to use anything except the water – if it too dirty with the burned food on it – i just let it soak for few minutes and wipe it off after .

After three weeks of seeking a 5-burner cooktop to fit the cutout dimensions, I finally settled on the lcg3011st 30″ – After two months, two Thanksgiving dinners and several dinner parties, it works and works well! I recommend the product for cooking, simmering, “cleanability”, and its aesthetics.

I can not recommend it. Stay away from it.
have had this for a bit more than a year. Got a professional plumber to help me install. I use LP gas and the correct inserts were installed. I can only comment on how it works on LP gas. It is extremely hard to get the burners to work properly. The main one for example blows itself out when igniting it. After a few trials it works but spits and makes a lot of noise before settling. The other burners hesitate to start and it is a very frustrating experience. Our many friends have seen this and for sure they won’t buy an LG appliance ever. And now all of a sudden one burner does not start at all. I’m about to throw this 1000 dollar stove away and buy a Kitchen Aid which I had in my previous home. It worked like a champ for the 15 years I lived there. I have called LG but they don’t really have any other suggestions than to call an authorized service guy and they are about 40 miles away. So there is another reason to think twice before you buy this one – where is nearest service?If I could give zero stars here I would. Stay away from this one. It looks good but that is about it! I had expected much more from LG.

Specs were incorrect for installation and the help line just sent me the specs. Weight feels insubstantial and appears the numbers will wear off quickly and look cheap. I’m very disappointed so far.

We like it so far
We chose this product because of the looks and the price. We like the burner and knob positioning. We opted for the unit with the Non-LED knobs because several reviews indicated the knobs on the LED units tended to get melted over time. We have have no issues with this unit. The old Jenn-Air unit tended to have problems with the ignitors staying on. The only downside, which we knew would probably be the case is that splatters show up readily on the surface. However, everything is easy to remove and clean.
