DANGER! BUYER BEWARE!!
Several problems! Problem number one listing clearly states in multiple places that the unit will heat up to 1500 square feet, this is greatly exaggerated! The unit has difficulty maintaining temperature in a 300 square-foot insulated room. Problem number two happened in less than a month of operation, when the unit FAILED TO SHUT OFF when the temperature reached and exceeded the temperature the thermostat was set at and continued to heat. Unable to turn off heater with either the remote or onboard controls. In contacting the manufacturer, following the instructions in the owners manual, I was told that they are not responsible for what the seller is listing the unit for and proceeded to give me a series of checks and balances and tests to see if I could determine the problem of possibly a faulty thermostat that they would send and required me to replace. Basically the manufacturers one year limited warranty, releases them from any service and requires the purchaser to perform any needed repairs. Since the return window has closed with Amazon prior to the problems being discovered, I am now stuck with a $130 heater that cannot be left unattended, does not work as advertised, may or may not shut off! A space heater that does not shut off once the thermostat has been reached is a fire hazard!!In trying to resolve the issue, Amazon says contact the seller. The seller says contact the manufacturer. The manufacturer says I am responsible for diagnosing and fixing the unit. The item is under warranty, but nobody seems to want to do anything under warranty.
