   Good customer support
   Tate from customer services has been helping me. They have been extremely responsive and have been helping me with technical difficulties. My current vent is 7 inches and I had to improvise a reducer to fit the 5 inch circular output on top of this hood. The hood I received had some bent sheet metal damage around the vent and damaged grease filters. Luckily, customer service is sending me a replacement. Otherwise, the hood is beautiful and low profile. The fan also seems to be fairly quiet. I’ll add to this review when I install and start using the hood.Update: I have now installed the hood and it’s working well so far. The LED lights are bright enough that I don’t need to really have kitchen lights to see food cooking. As you can see, I’ve an Island range and have the hood vent in a false ceiling as opposed to under cabinets. Hood is functional in this usage as well. Customer service has been very understanding and supportive throughout the entire process.

   Not bad with one (fixable) flaw.
   Pros: Cheap, surprisingly quiet, doesn’t have nonsense features (who wants a clock on their hood?), and doesn’t have tacky badging and colored LEDs.Con: This is a big one…the recirculation/exhaust baffle is leaky. I’d estimate when exhaust is selected it really is a 20% recirculation 80% exhaust, once installed with a 5inch duct run and various changes of direction this goes to more like 50/50. The point of a hood is to exhaust smells and moisture OUT of the kitchen, not throw them back in your face.A silver lining (and the only reason I gave it three stars) is that this can be fixed with foil tape by disassembling the housing and sealing off the recirculation paths in the hood.

   Size
   I thought that the only important size was the with not true but is was ok one of the grill filter was dented because the box was damaged but we decided it wasn’t bad enough to return it but once installed we discovered it also has a dent on top front to late to request a return now our fault we should of paid more attention.

   Attractive hood, good suction
   I like the way it looks and the suction strength. At first I didn’t think the suction was that good, so I put a pot of water on the stove and let it boil hard. The steam went into the hood. Then, to see if the charcoal filter did anything, I used a skillet with a little oil and the burner on high until it smoked. In the video, you see what I saw, which was no smoke coming out the vent. That’s the main thing I was hoping for.I like that the metal filters are flush with the bottom and cover most of the bottom, so there is no metal hard to reach that would require appearance cleaning. I guess it will get dirty inside. The metal filters are easy to remove, as are the charcoal filters. The manual recommends changing the filters every 6 months. I don’t think that will be necessary given the small amount of time I will actually use it. However, a set of the charcoal filters is about $50.Regarding installation, the top of the unit is 13.25″ deep and my cabinet is 12″. So, one set of mounting holes was too far forward. The other set in the back was visible but unreachable because they were blocked by metal that the filters rest on. So, I just drilled holes that would work for me. That meant I needed someone to hold help me put it up because the slotted holes were either unreachable or in the wrong place for my cabinet.I’ve seen other comments about the lights being at the back. I also noticed fingerprints on the stainless steel. Finally, it comes with a connected cord and a plug. My old hood was direct wired. I cut the plug off and threaded the cord up through the bottom of the cabinet to connect it to power.

   Damaged out of the Box.
   I purchased this item on February 6th, and we only installed it on March 15th, 2025, as I was sick and couldn’t take care of someone to come and install it. The electrition who came installed it and the third setting gave us a continuous banging sound as soon as it was installed. I contacted the seller to see what can we do as we are out of the return time frame. The first lady was very nice, but the email I got the next day told me that we overused the product. I used it for less than an hour because I was afraid it would cause more damage to the unit. There is no way to talk to Amazon customer support either. I know I am out of the return time frame. I just wanted help to somehow solve this issue. This unit wasn’t cheap, and it is sad that defective products are sent to us buyers. Now the unit is sitting in the middle of my living room. Do not buy this product.

   Checks All the Boxes
   We needed a ventless range hood for our new kitchen. It was hard to find one with the style I liked and also a truly ventless hood since we didn’t want to compromise the storage area in the cabinet above. I found this model on Amazon and it worked perfectly. The light is nice and bright when you are cooking. Also, I like the lights being toward the back of the unit so it illuminates the whole range and doesn’t cause shadows when you’re working. The fan has 3 speeds, as shown in the video. The highest is very powerful but also quiet which is a huge plus. All in all, I’m very pleased with our purchase and would definitely recommend it.
