Awesome product
Our old fridge seals were getting moldy’ and this was just what we were looking for. It fit well eniugh on our samsung fridge, and I am hoping it will gradually fit in better and make the seal tighter. Installation was quite easy.

Perfect Fit: Samsung RF261BEAESR/AA
This vendor is correct. This was DA97-05557Y gasket is EXACTLY the same lower freezer compartment seal as the original Samsung seal that came with my RF261BEAESR/AA model. Installed it in just a couple minutes after cleaning the surfaces. It pushes into the existing groove and is retained by friction fit as is the OEM gasket. Highly recommend this product for quality & value for the money ($78.00 vs. $116.95 from Samsung direct for my part). Thank you.

Failed after 4 months in use
Item is highly-rated (4.5 stars to date). This made my decision to purchase easy. In addition, if compared with an OEM gasket, which normally goes for around $179.00, this option was available for a fraction of that figure. I decided to change all gaskets on my Samsung RFG-298AARS/XA refrigerator and initially, of of these replacement gaskets worked flawlessly.At around the fourth month after installation, the gasket started showing signs of separation on the upper left corner. I removed the gasket, cleaned all surfaces and reinstalled to no avail. The gasket is curling out at about 3 inches from the top left corner and separating from the freezer’s frame. Gasket remains firmly attached to the door.When I tried to request replacement, the 30-day return/exchange policy prevented me from doing so. I opened a case via Amazon chat and I was given the contact information for Appliance Parts, which proved to be incorrect. I subsequently opened a case by calling Amazon support and I got a one-time concession to return it, but not before being assessed a restocking fee. I would think that a product such as this should be given time to prove its reliability and not be subject to a thirty-day return policy. In my case, it failed at around the 120-day timeframe and not having adequate warranty exchange for at least a year is a major disservice to the customer.It is a major disappointment that a highly-ranked product fails the wait it did, but it is even more disappointing when there is no return policy to properly address these situations. My original seals lasted 14 years while this failed after only 4 months.Another observation is that at least for the freezer seal, its magnet seems to be on the weak side. Yes, I tested for the freezer door to be level and that the rolling mechanism was still in good working order. There is no looseness or binding with these mechanisms.

Gasket fits properly
The gasket is shipped in a flat box and the gasket is folded over. After you remove the gasket from the box , unfold it and lay it flat on a hard surface for a day or two to get out the creases. Then install the gasket. The gasket works well on my freezer door.
