Great dryer when…
This was purchased to replace and existing dryer in our motorhome because of the noise. The motors that rotate the drum are notoriously lousy and are the first thing to fail. Mine did and I bought a replacement from the US supplier/manufacturer. It worked great for 2 weeks and then the connection at the cord to unit melted. Not having any desire to replace the wiring at this critical junction, I sprung for a new machine. On time delivery, but the 2 screws holding the motor were never tightened, so the blower fan blades were bend and rubbing in the rear shroud. I replaced the blades from the old unit and tightened the screws holding the motor and working great for weeks now.Getting a RV dryer in an RV is challenging and I don’t know if the average consumer would tackle the job. The repair was easy having had the unit out and repair once myself.

Heating element continues to fail
We had to have the heating element replaced in July 2024. It is now November 2024 and it has failed again. I will never own another Splendid product.

Don’t buy
This dryer has terrible bearing noises. You can not be in the coach while it is running. By what I see this is a known problem for years and still not corrected by the company. People are putting in aftermarket bearings to solve the problem. I did not spend over 1000 dollars to have to replace parts myself. I wi be donating it and replacing with another brand. This is junk!!!!!!
